Manufactured entirely from 304-stainless steel for superior durability, this 4:1 Miata header is sure to offer many years of enthusiastic Miata performance driving.
Over 200 on-chassis dyno runs allowed Racing Beat to determine the optimum tubing diameter and lengths for both the primary and secondary tubes. Racing Beat also took the opportunity to experiment with various engine-to-header flange porting configurations and collector designs specifically on the Miata application.
This development allowed Racing Beat to fine-tune the performance of this header to achieve performance that is superior to stock at all points of the RPM range. Racing Beat's exclusive cast, stainless steel engine-to-header flange features specially designed exhaust ports that transition smoothly to the primary tubing. Large diameter 1.7" OD tubing has been used for the primary tubing, and then collects into the 2.375" OD secondary.
But, does NOT fit with many Miata supercharger setups. So, get this Miata header if you do not plan to add a supercharger to your Miata.
Note that adding any header makes a slight increase in the exhaut sound level on your Miata.
Note that latest version of this Racing Beat Miata Header has a small factory installed dent for clearance to the Miata steering assembly. Ships direct from our friends at Racing Beat and they make these in-house in small batches of 25 units, which means they can get backed up in the Spring and Summer.

Racing Beat NB Miata Header 01-05
Bought the racing beats header for my son's drift miata. It looks great and woke up the car.
Let me just say this product exceeded all my expectations. And anyone who does buy one must do a vodka bath and let it turn to a pretty golden color. All of the welds were beautiful and strong, they go all the way through and create a nice quality piece. The header did make my car a little bit louder and added more of a smooth tone while removing some rasp, it sounds amazing matched with my mutt of an exhaust system. Ontop of it all my butt dyno says it adds significant power and torque from 3000rpm- redline.
Let me start off with the fact that you can really notice the increase in torque, a lot more then I expected. These headers are amazing combined with the roadster sport cat back system they just sound absolutely amazing. As far as install goes it was pretty straight forward except when you have to pull them out of the engine bay, the bolts that connect the two sections of the OEM header were impossible to get off so I just cut the exhaust by the transmission and it came out fine. Also there is a bracket that holds the OEM header onto the transmission make sure you remove that before you install the new headers otherwise you'll have to fight with them to get them in. All in all install wasn't that back and the final product is worth the pain. The great staff here at Goodwin racing were really helpful with questions I had on delivery, as a baseline they said it could take two weeks to a month to get these headers, the ones I ordered got to my house in about two weeks.
