DESCRIPTION
Run a larger sway bar in autocross or track duty and you WILL eventually rip the mounts in half UNLESS you use either the Racing Beat Sway Bar brace kit blocks and bolts or these super heavy duty mounts. Unlike the blocks/bolts which just help to strengthen the factory mounts, these reinforced brackets completely replace the stock ones to eliminate this problem forever. This is the do-it-once solution.
Laser cut and folded and Mig welded steel units that are then powder coated black. These revised units will accept OEM sway bar clamps, Racing Beat aluminum sway bar clamps or Energy suspension sway bar kits!
These fit cars with and without power steering. The open ended reinforced sway bar brackets allow the option of putting power steering hoses through the bracket.
Note that these are substantially more install work than the simple Racing Beat blocks and bolts but also substantially more stout. Spot welds attaching the stock mounts to frame must be drilled out.

My mechanic, who specializes in Miatas had to spend more time than planned to install these mounts. Some modification to the chassis was required and radiator needed to be removed.
These brackets are great. Very beefy compared to the stock (nearly) sheet metal. But don't think these won't take too long to install. They are a LOT more work that the RB blocks and require some messing around with existing elements to make fit: ie. the mounts interfere with the existing radiator support brackets - so I had to cut out a section of the brackets. Do yourself a favor and remove the radiator when installing. It can be done without doing so, but it only takes one slip of a tool to puncture and ruin the radiator (how do I know that?). Overall I'm happy with the mounts and that I won't have to think or worry about them again.
