The highest quality alloyed gray iron composition is heat treated to relieve casting stress, straight slots, surface EDP Coating w/cross cut grinding on friction surface. These are dynamically balanced after slotting to ensure vibration-free use at high speed. Advanced curve vanes between the rotor halves cool much more efficiently than stock or other replacements for improved cooling. This rotor is upgraded from OE straight vane to curved vanes for better than stock performance, curved vanes pump more air and keep disc cooler than straight vanes, however the curved vane discs are directional meaning left and right discs are different and requires two sets of tooling instead of just one set in the case of straight vanes, making the cost a little higher than cheaper alternatives...but worth it! The slots wipe away the white-hot boundary layer from the disc and pad to increase braking efficiency, particularly in wet conditions.
