Each shock is adjustable by simply rotating the tuning sprocket on the top of the shock rod. Although the front shocks on the RX-8 can be easily reached from the engine compartment, the top of the rear shock rods are virtually impossible to reach once installed on the car. To address this issue, Tokico offers a pair of extension adjustment cables that can be attached to the top of the shocks and allows easy access adjustments from inside the trunk. Cables sold separately here. Avg. Lower Front: 1.25", Rear: 1.25".

BRIAN'S APPLICATION NOTES: The top adjustment knob is coming through a hollow tube that can be snapped off if install is not done properly. If you don't have a torque wrench and you don't know what you are doing....hire a Pro before you pull across the top improperly and snap off the top! Once installed it is difficult to reach the top of the rear shocks for adjustment if you want to keep the factory plastic trunk liner installed. Tokico's answer to this issue is an optional set of adjustment cables that we sell separately here. The cables pass through the plastic trunk liner to give you more easy access to adjust the rears.
