SPECIAL SBC FINISH! SBC (SPECIAL BRILLIANT COATING) is a breakthrough technology that has enabled ENKEI to achieve a chrome-looking finish using synthetic coating over polished surface to achieve a brilliant metal finish without the high maintenance or weight associated with chrome. Starting with a polished process before the coating results in lowering the weight by half a pound over standard silver version, for an amazing 15.6 pound result!

This Enkei 17x9 RP-F1 is our TOP wheel choice for MX5 Miata track and autocross! Includes Enkei Aluminum Valve Stems!

Nothing else comes close to this combination of ultra light weight and strength (Rolling Rim technology used to make these rims results in grain alignment just like in forged wheels for greater strength than is available from mere cast wheels but at much lower cost than forged wheels).

Takes a 73/67 ring for those that want the hubcentric rings, available elsewhere on the website.

Narrow extended length lugs are recommended (see McGard Spline Drive lugs here on our website).

See more pictures of these 17x9 on our MazdaSport Magazine project car...on THIS WEBSITE in our forum wheel gallery. Note that center caps not included on this Enkei but available on the website for those that want them.

This is our top choice for track days with TOYO R888 tires for the NC Generation Miata. Also works great as MX5 CSP or STR class autocross setup. Requires a mild fender lip roll to fit 235/40/17 or 245/40/17. Worth the effort for an amazing amount of grip for a very LOW weight and high strength...see pictures in wheel gallery section of our forum. This 17x9 is a popular choice for both Mazda MX5 and Honda S2000.

MAT Technology

The Enkei Most Advanced Technology (M.A.T) process combines one-piece cast wheel technology with a rim forming spinning process. Using this rim forming M.A.T process improves material strength dramatically as compared with normal cast wheels. Rim-Rolled technology shapes the rim to improve material elongation without sacrificing the wheels hardness.

All Enkei wheels are engineered to pass rigorous testing. In fact, Enkei established its own test standard called "Spec-E," which is tougher than JWL requirements. Enkei s Spec-E test setting requires a higher drop point in the impact test and 20% more cycles for the rotary bending fatigue and dynamic radial fatigue tests than JWL standards. The Spec-E represents Enkei s confidence in its technology and quality of Enkei wheels.

As you can see, i placed another order for more parts for my car. I wanted you to know that I'm pleased at how quickly the wheels/tires came, and the radiator too. Great service and response time.

After reading many other positive reviews on both the GWR and Miata forums I finally decided to buy this product. My main concern for many months was whether or not I was up to the task of installing the header. But with the excellent instructions on Brian's forum as well as several Miata forum threads it turned out easier than I expected. After receiving notice that the header would arrive on a Friday afternoon, I began the disassembly process. After about 3 hours I had the stock manifold out. Later that afternoon the new catted header arrived right on schedule. And it is a thing of beauty. I opted for the stainless version. Installation on Saturday morning took another 3 hours, although I could have shaved some time off of that but I was actually enjoying the process of double checking torque values and cleaning up my engine compartment. I already have the GWR catted midpipe, so that connection was a snap. I put everything back together, reconnected my battery, and went for a drive. NO CODES! Nice throaty sound with my RSII muffler, and a significant boost in power and low/mid torque. Another happy camper here. I since have added a M-E tune and I feel I have realized all of the gains that Brian has achieved on his 2012 project Miata. I've put several hundred miles on my Miata since the install with zero problems. This is the car that Mazda should have built all along. Thanks Brian.
