Ohlins FULL RACE DFV COILOVERS for RX8 - 13KG Front, 8kg Rear

Here is what we use on our own racecar...and currently $500 off the regular price. These are revalved by OHLINS for higher rate springs, 13kg front, 8kg rear. SPRINGS NOT SHOWN IN THIS PICTURE..but instead of the very fine Eibach Springs supplied in our standard Ohlins kit, this RACER kit is also upgraded with ULTRA LOW WEIGHT Swift Coilover Springs (Front springs just 3 pounds each, rear springs just 2 pounds each!!).

Updated product for 2010, super light-weight design with a majority of the parts in aluminum and on top of that all shocks have proven through extensive corrosion tests according to ISO 9227. Not includes rear remote adjustment cables so you can easily adjust damping settings on the car! The end result is a 2-year warranty on all of the Ohlins products - worldwide. Ohlins has long lead the way for suspension design in the world of motorsports from Motorcycles to Indy Cars. This package comprises aluminum bodied, mono tube design shocks, with 30 clicks of adjustment.

*Please Note* We send a set of standard coilovers to Ohlins for race valving after an order is placed. Delivery will be approximately four weeks.

Brian's Application Notes I have used Ohlins for decades in my motorcycles and have always been pleased with the ability of this brand to provide both great handling and great ride quality and their NC RX8 Miata coilover kit continues this tradition. The ride is amazing for these spring rates...we set top time of day in our local autocross on our first day out with these installed....simply amazing. One of the great features includes INDEPENDENT control of height and spring pre-load!

INSTALLATION NOTES You must carefully follow our forum instructions, particularly with regard to the need for spacers and longer 40mm rear bolt for the lower rear shock connection (5mm longer than stock bolt with about the same amount of spacer to remove arc of travel of the rear so it is much more linear and clears the narrow race springs). NOTE with Race kit you end up with TWO COMPLETE SETS OF SPRINGS because while Ohlins will re-valve for us, they won't delete the standard springs from the kit.

INCLUDES our delrin spring adapters for the rear that convert your factory rear top hat's spring perch to accept the smaller diameter race springs that ship with the Race kit. NOTE: these delrin adapters ONLY work on the later style of aluminum factory rear hat, not the black steel version factory offered on the early RX8. You can buy aluminum rear hats direct from Mazda if you have an early RX8 with steel rear top hats.
