Your factory Miata MX5 X brace is single sheet steel and can flex easily (pull it and you will discover you can flex it with your bare hands)...and that flex partially defeats the purpose. This replacement is TUBULAR ALUMINUM. By weight aluminum is 6 times stronger than steel and the tubular design of this brace adds further strength to reduce NC platform flex.
