Thank you. You have rated this product.

The Racing Beat Nose Kits for the Miata have proven to be an extremely popular item over the years and offers a perfect replacement for a damaged factory nose. As stated by Sport Compact Car Magazine in the April, 2000 issue, Racing Beat's Miatas have set the standard in Miata aesthetics for the last ten years. Clean, uncluttered and purposeful, the cars retain Miata character, yet add some necessary attitude.

The Type III Miata Nose Kit presents a stronger and more aggressive statement in upgrading the appearance of your Miata. Designed for the 1999-00 Miata, this nose replaces the stock nosepiece while utilizing all of the OEM mounting positions and brackets. Handcrafted in the USA from hand-laid fiberglass and easily prepped for final painting, the nose only requires minor sanding and fitting to your particular chassis. Note (February 2007): This nose kit does not currently make provisions for mounting of any Mazda factory (or Mazda accessory kit) driving lights. We are currently developing a mounting kit that will allow the placement of these lights into the Racing Beat nose. Since Mazda offered at least two or three different light kits for this application, we will attempt to design a mounting kit that can be used to mount each of these different units. More will be posted as development nears completion.

Shipping Note: Due to the size of this nose kit, this part cannot be shipped by UPS and must be sent via truck freight. Thus, website will NOT accurately calculate the ship cost and we will fix ship cost to actual truck freight at time of shipment. Even though this part is relatively lightweight, this box is considered oversized. If you are considering purchasing any other large fiberglass components, i.e. side skirts, rear wing, deck cover, we can add these parts to the box and add no additional shipping expense. After reading many other positive reviews on both the GWR and Miata forums I finally decided to buy this product. My main concern for many months was whether or not I was up to the task of installing the header. But with the excellent instructions on Brian's forum as well as several Miata forum threads it turned out easier than I expected. After receiving notice that the header would arrive on a Friday afternoon, I began the disassembly process. After about 3 hours I had the stock manifold out. Later that afternoon the new catted header arrived right on schedule. And it is a thing of beauty. I opted for the stainless version. Installation on Saturday morning took another 3 hours, although I could have shaved some time off of that but I was actually enjoying the process of double checking torque values and cleaning up my engine compartment. I already have the GWR catted midpipe, so that connection was a snap. I put everything back together, reconnected my battery, and went for a drive. NO CODES! Nice throaty sound with my RSII muffler, and a significant boost in power and low/mid torque. Another happy camper here. I since have added a M-E tune and I feel I have realized all of the gains that Brian has achieved on his 2012 project Miata. I've put several hundred miles on my Miata since the install with zero problems. This is the car that Mazda should have built all along. Thanks Brian.
