A Mishimoto fan shroud will notably improve engine cooling performance by delivering more air to the Miata radiator and driving out excess heat while at the same time serving another very important purpose: securing the fan blades. Which otherwise could potentially damage other essential components in your engine.

BRIAN'S APPLICATION NOTES: The factory fans are good but if you need a replacement these are a good choice. Installation requires some mechanical skills, including splicing of factory fan leads.

RYAN'S NOTES: The factory fans are VERY good. Consider these an option for those who do not have any fans and need some, but not an upgrade over the factory fans. This fan kit includes a shroud that blocks much more of the radiator than factory. The shroud improves the pressure created by the fans, making them more effective at low speed, at the cost of blocking airflow when the car is moving at high speed. Therefore this kit is more suitable for daily driver stop and go use or autocross than at the racetrack.
