The new Wilwood front only basic Miata Big Brake kit with 11 inch rotors and forged Dynalite calipers and wilwood brake lines for a super deal!

Includes BP-10 pads, brake lines, standard Wilwood 11x.810 rotors (a standard off the shelf rotor that can be replaced anywhere in the country from many sources), CNC aluminum caliper brackets, steel thread inserts, hard anodized, all mounting hardware. Fits all Miata 1990 through 2005 front. Can be matched with our rear only kits for a complete four wheel bargain setup.

This bargain Big Brake kit for the Miata features the race proven Billet Dynalite four piston calipers. These calipers provide big clamping power in a truly lightweight, rigid and reliable design. Four stainless steel pistons provide additional corrosion resistance and the lowest heat transfer of any one-piece piston design. The Platinum-E finish provides excellent corrosion resistance and long term preservation of their high-tech style and appearance. Calipers are also available in a red powder coat finish on this website for additional upgrade charge (note that the dynalite calipers included in the kit are now finished almost in a GREY color rather than the black shown here).

Braking power is radically improved again with the larger 11.00" diameter disc rotors. Compared to the stock rotors, brake leverage is increased by as much as 10% with the larger O.D. The .81" thick, vented fin design is the perfect balance between weight and cooling area for outstanding reliability and fade free performance in the toughest conditions. Every Wilwood rotor is cast from premium grade, long grain carbon iron. This material exhibits long wear, high thermal stability, and excellent resistance to distortion in high heat. Modern foundry and machining techniques hold close tolerances on face and vane thickness. The 30 vane casting design provides superior heat management and long service life with low rotating and unsprung weight.

BP-10 Brake Pads for the front calipers provide fast response with high resistance to fade, long wear, and low rotor abrasion. Developed for improved stopping power, ultra-quiet engagement, and the lowest possible dusting available from a performance compound pad, BP-10 provides quiet, consistent stops over a wide temperature without all the annoying dust on the wheels. BP-10 materials have an easy break-in period and are easily bedded on new cast iron rotors. Premium grade hardware are supplied along with detailed instructions in every kit.

Brian's APPLICATION NOTES: New Bargain front only kit gives you everything need for a front installation, but track customers should carefully consider our four wheel kits for a complete balanced setups (which use MUCH stiffer brackets and upgraded rotors, floating connection hardware, etc). Unlike our more expensive kits, this kit is NOT made hubcentric and uses a separate hubcentric ring that we include in the kit. It is a great kit for the price but hats and brackets are less stout than what is in even our least expensive Version 1 kits.

After reading many other positive reviews on both the GWR and Miata forums I finally decided to buy this product. My main concern for many months was whether or not I was up to the task of installing the header. But with the excellent instructions on Brian's forum as well as several Miata forum threads it turned out easier than I expected. After receiving notice that the header would arrive on a Friday afternoon, I began the disassembly process. After about 3 hours I had the stock manifold out. Later that afternoon the new catted header arrived right on schedule. And it is a thing of beauty. I opted for the stainless version. Installation on Saturday morning took another 3 hours, although I could have shaved some time off of that but I was actually enjoying the process of double checking torque values and cleaning up my engine compartment. I already have the GWR catted midpipe, so that connection was a snap. I put everything back together, reconnected my battery, and went for a drive. NO CODES! Nice throaty sound with my RSII muffler, and a significant boost in power and low/mid torque. Another happy camper here. I since have added a M-E tune and I feel I have realized all of the gains that Brian has achieved on his 2012 project Miata. I've put several hundred miles on my Miata since the install with zero problems. This is the car that Mazda should have built all along. Thanks Brian.

Wanted to say thanks. The exhaust system fit perfectly, no drone at steady throttle, but a nice sound winding thru the gears. And it does sound a lot like my old Alfa. The Racing Beat lowering springs are just right. Appreciate the tech advice and the service.
