NEW! This is now the lightest MX-5 clutch and flywheel package on the market today!

This clutch AND flywheel combo is just 16 pounds, a full 12.2 pounds lighter than stock combo... which means more power to the rear wheels. Holds 300ft/lbs at the wheels! You will feel the difference coming off every corner.

This is the first and only fully rebuildable carbon Miata clutch on the market currently.

Smooth engagement!

This is a single disc carbon/carbon clutch with a Billet Aluminum flywheel. It uses a stock style clutch cover but the friction plate is a light weight Billet Aluminum piece to replace the steel casting. Just by doing this we save 3-4lbs along with almost 2 lbs in the disc. The lighter the disc the less wear and tear on the trans syncros! Carbon has to rub against itself so this new friction plate has a carbon surface screwed into it. The disc is carbon on both sides, which makes for very smooth engagement. The flywheel is aluminum and uses the same style carbon inserts as the friction plate. By building the clutch this way it is completely rebuildable by the customer out in the field. All they have to do is install new carbon pucks in the flywheel and friction plate and replace the disc at a cost much less than a new unit.

SHIP NOTE: These are MADE TO ORDER. Please allow up to one month! So, if you are in a rush, this is not your clutch! But if willing to wait for something special, this is a great choice.

BRIAN'S APPLICATION NOTES: This is the clutch and flywheel combo we use in our supercharged MX5. We decided to give it a try because my wife was not a fan of the ACT clutch. Pedal feels much like stock clutch, no heavy pedal here yet it works great for those with 12psi and more! This is a great choice for those who are stock hp now but planning to race or add boost. All the clamping ability of a full race clutch but as friendly to drive as stock replacement. 5SPEED fitment only. BUT an ultra light flywheel and clutch combos includes the risk of transmission rattle, we can make a heavier version with steel flywheel if you think some rattle on decel of an ultralight package will bother you.

REVIEWS

Brian, Thank you!!! We last spoke in November about some upgrades for my 2011 MX5 soft top. It has finally warmed up in NE Ohio and two relaxed weekends of wrenching on my car were well worth the effort. Installation of the RoadsterSport ceramic coated street header was straight forward and took under 8 hours, including a 40 minute test drive and cleanup of the garage! Combined with the RoadsterSport Q exhaust, the sound is fantastic and the increased torque, horsepower and performance make it a blast to drive. The addition of the Cobalt shock tower brace, Racing Beat sway bars, ILM front power train and X braces really enhanced the ride - minimal body roll, comfortable and very responsive. Your recommendations really helped transform the car from great to fantastic. Your research, product development and candid recommendations make you a standout in the industry. My only questions are - what's next on my list .... And how soon will my wife want the same upgrades on her 2012 PRHT ... Again, thank you!!! Charles G

Wanted to say thanks. The exhaust system fit perfectly, no drone at steady throttle, but a nice sound winding thru the gears. And it does sound a lot like my old Alfa. The Racing Beat lowering springs are just right. Appreciate the tech advice and the service.
