1983-85 RX-7 Power Pulse Muffler - Racing Beat has been manufacturing replacement muffler canisters for rotary powered vehicles for over 40 years. Ordinary replacement mufflers don't stand a chance against the extreme temperatures and pounding exhaust gas pulsation generated by the rotary engine. Many of these replacement RX-7 mufflers will quickly burn up the packing material and self-destruct under these harsh conditions. Many years ago we discovered an exhaust system supplier deep in the heart of the Italian countryside that was willing to produce our RX-7 mufflers for us. That was over 30 years ago and we've never looked back! In fact, we can't ever recall having a complaint with one of these mufflers, they just flat out work. Solid, strong and quiet, they hold up extremely well against the abuse of the harsh rotary exhaust.

The Power Pulse RX-7 Mufflers interchange exactly with the stock RX-7 muffler on the 1983-85 chassis years. The main body of the muffler measures 8 inches in diameter and 18 inches in length. The heavy-duty construction, both internally and externally, ensures a long life. In a typical application, this muffler adds up to 5 HP over the Mazda factory muffler and is as quiet as a stock muffler with an improved note - deep and throaty, with no annoying metallic character. Emissions legal, this muffler bolts to the outlet of the connecting pipe section. Gaskets are not included, but are available separately if needed.

Now may be the time to consider replacing the old rubber muffler hangers on your RX-7. New replacement hangers will ensure correct alignment of the RX-7 muffler canister and tip position in the bumper opening.

Brian, just wanted tyou to know you've got another highly satisfied customer. I got my RoadstersportIII muffler on Friday, installed it in 20 minutes, looks and sounds awesome. I like the baffles out!! My new tires/wheels came Saturday, just got them on and test drove them. Fantastic!! And how they look--- just what I was after. I will add the front "mud flap" that looks like the rear one, for some stone protection, but the offset was just what I was working for. I'd love to send you some pictures for your photo gallery. If you'll send an adress via e-mail, I'll send some high-res photos showing clearances and side profiles, etc. The graphite spokes and polished rims really set well on my black car. Thanks again, me and my wallet will be back!!

Thanks for making this work and providing great customer service! I had a full weekend with the install, but man was it worth it. The flywheel was such a good choice. I can't believe how much easier rev-matching down shifts are. The ACT is surprisingly easy to live with, even with the engagement point very low. I'll tackle that when it stops raining. Thanks again for making this happen this weekend.
