Dynapro 4-piston calipers are direct replacements in any 90-05 Miata Big Brake Kit that uses the old Dynalite 4 Piston. This is for the caliper only - for people who ALREADY have the BBK.

Piston size in this caliper is the same as the Dynalite so your brake balance remains the same. These calipers will retrofit with all the same hardware you already have with your big brake kit - lines, brackets and rotors.

The Dynalite caliper has been the old workhorse of many Miata big brake kits for decades. It does the job but it can flex under heavy use and high heat, which can be noticed in pedal feel and often results in "tapering" of the pad as it wears The new Dynapro caliper is designed as a drop-in replacement for the Dynalite and brings the newest technology to the table for your braking system. The DynaPro is stress-flow forged from premium grade billet, offering superior strength, resistance to deflection, better clamping efficiency, less pedal travel, and more even pad wear. This caliper features thick-wall stainless steel pistons which resist corrosion and heat transfer through the pads. Pads are supported from the top by the new "W" shaped Quick-Clip pad retainers which make track-side pad swaps even easier.

The Dynapro 4 uses the 7812 pad shape which has the same great pad variety available as the Dynalite had. Note that this package does not include pads so that you can pick your own pads depending on your needs.

After reading many other positive reviews on both the GWR and Miata forums I finally decided to buy this product. My main concern for many months was whether or not I was up to the task of installing the header. But with the excellent instructions on Brian's forum as well as several Miata forum threads it turned out easier than I expected. After receiving notice that the header would arrive on a Friday afternoon, I began the disassembly process. After about 3 hours I had the stock manifold out. Later that afternoon the new catted header arrived right on schedule. And it is a thing of beauty. I opted for the stainless version. Installation on Saturday morning took another 3 hours, although I could have shaved some time off of that but I was actually enjoying the process of double checking torque values and cleaning up my engine compartment. I already have the GWR catted midpipe, so that connection was a snap. I put everything back together, reconnected my battery, and went for a drive. NO CODES! Nice throaty sound with my RSII muffler, and a significant boost in power and low/mid torque. Another happy camper here. I since have added a M-E tune and I feel I have realized all of the gains that Brian has achieved on his 2012 project Miata. I've put several hundred miles on my Miata since the install with zero problems. This is the car that Mazda should have built all along. Thanks Brian.

Just wanted to thank you guys for the great stuff and great work done on my MX5 club yesterday. I could feel the difference in sound and performance right away! It drives and corners awesome now. Can't wait to tell my friends about you guys. I'll be keeping an eye on your web site for other goodies and events as well. Can't wait to try my new suspension out on a auto cross.
