Yes, this is a CARB legal 'cat-back' item because it bolts to rear of stock converter. This is the path to 200 Ft/lbs of Torque per our dyno graphs in our forum Fiat thread!
Like all RoadsterSport exhausts this system is All POLISHED stainless steel construction and LIFETIME warranty. It also features full 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust from the cat-back.
Hear the fun!
DYNO GRAPHS! Result is new HIGH For Fiat 124, 160 HP at the wheels, 200 FT/LBS Torque pushing you back in the seat! Felt good at the first Fiat 124 SCCA appearance so figured it was time to dyno the setup, and now I see why it felt good, that's some healthy torque! This is still stock tune, which means this is CARB compliant power legal in all States!
Lowest Line is Best STOCK Pull. Middle Line is Best Pull with just highflow Muffler Upgrade. Highest Line is Best Pull Full Downpipe, Midpipe, Muffler. Peak HP up 'only' about 15hp but notice total area under the torque curve is massively better, up over 30 Ft/lbs of torque through much of the middle rpm range, peak gains over 50 Ft/lbs at the low end thanks to faster spool for the turbo. That's TORQUE you can feel pushing you back in the seat as you pull away from every stoplight!
Install of this midpipe precisely the same as our NC Generation Miata midpipe, right down to same hardware and gasket style, see our FORUM NC Midpipe installation titled: "Roadstersport Midpipe Installation NC, ND, Fiat 124" for instructions, torque specs, tips and hints for making it easy, etc.
BRIAN'S INSTALL NOTES: MUFFLER DELETE
Installation of the muffler delete is SUPER EASY, install hardware is included. Just two stock 14mm bolts to loosen (actually nuts on studs, if the nuts comes out without the stud you can use 13mm deep socket to remove the stock stud). When you open the big box you will find separate foam wrap on the exhaust tips, leave that foam around the tips during your install to protect the polished tips and your car's soft plastic in the exhaust cutout. Use gloves. Use correct socket to remove stock bolts/nuts. Then lube up the stock exhaust hangers with dish soap and yank stock muffler back and forth to work the soap into the rubber hangers and then the muffler will slide off those rubber hangers easily. Then hang the new muffler on the wet and soapy rubber hangers, install the sleeve clamp that connects to driver's side tip. Use one hand to get alignment of flange to midpipe as perfect as you can while you get nuts finger tight. Note that alignment of tips depends on clocking position of pipe into sleeve clamp leading to driver's side tip, adjust that clocking position as needed to raise or lower driver's side tip to match passenger side tip height. Torque bolts with the springs back in place to 30ft/lbs. Now you can remove foam tip wrap and have some FUN!
