The LFX does not have a standard tach signal wire because the ECM transmits all of the data to the Camaro dash via CAN bus. This poses a problem when trying to get RPMs to a tachometer gauge, display dash, etc. This tach signal adapter by Autometer is the solution. Installation requires hard wiring the adapter in-line with the pink/black power wires to the coils. The adapter provides a tach signal wire with a standardized signal that is easy for almost all aftermarket tachometers and race dashes to read.
Install notes: Ships with instructions provided by Autometer. Follow the instructions for LS series V8 engines but with the LFX you are looking for the pink/black wire supplying power to each bank of the coils.
