NEW 11" Big Brake Kit by Stoptech for the 90-93 Miata. This kit has calipers with piston sizes specifically chosen to balance with the 90-93 1.6L Miata's rear brake size.

Caliper - Forged/Anodized ST42 - 30/34mm pistons
StopTech 2-piece calipers have the lowest amount of flex and deflection among 25 of the leading caliper models (including some monoblocks) from well-known manufacturers. This is accomplished using StopTech s patented bolt-in bridge, which is strong enough to stop distortion without sacrificing cooling through the top of the caliper.

Rotors - 11" Slotted 2-piece
StopTech Pillar Vane Brake Rotors are engineered to provide superior strength while reducing rotor weight and running cooler. The diamond- shaped pillars provide brake pad surface stability as well as reduced rotating weight over rotors of similar strength. Airflow is also improved over straight vane rotors, allowing quick heat dissipation that results in greatly reduced fade.

Kit include necessary brackets, hardware and brake lines to complete installation.

Pads
Kit ships with Stoptech 309 compound pads. These are a "triple duty" performance street pad and can be used for street, autocross and LIGHT track duty. Pairs well with a street pad in the rear such as the Porterfield R4S. Race pads can be substituted upon request.

REVIEWS

After reading many other positive reviews on both the GWR and Miata forums I finally decided to buy this product. My main concern for many months was whether or not I was up to the task of installing the header. But with the excellent instructions on Brian's forum as well as several Miata forum threads it turned out easier than I expected. After receiving notice that the header would arrive on a Friday afternoon, I began the disassembly process. After about 3 hours I had the stock manifold out. Later that afternoon the new catted header arrived right on schedule. And it is a thing of beauty. I opted for the stainless version. Installation on Saturday morning took another 3 hours, although I could have shaved some time off of that but I was actually enjoying the process of double checking torque values and cleaning up my engine compartment. I already have the GWR catted midpipe, so that connection was a snap. I put everything back together, reconnected my battery, and went for a drive. NO CODES! Nice throaty sound with my RSII muffler, and a significant boost in power and low/mid torque. Another happy camper here. I since have added a M-E tune and I feel I have realized all of the gains that Brian has achieved on his 2012 project Miata. I've put several hundred miles on my Miata since the install with zero problems. This is the car that Mazda should have built all along. Thanks Brian.

Purchased the RS Max Power header and midpipe. THESE ARE TRUELY A WORK OF ART! CRAFTMANSHIP IS TOP NOTCH!! SITE PICS DO NOT DUE JUSTICE TO THESE ITEMS! I recommend Brian's site to ANYBODY with a Miata/MX 5. Brian and Co have taken a great automotive platform and elevated it to it's FULL POTENTIAL!
