Miata 1990-2005: Brakes: Pads
We offer Miata brake pads for street, autocross and track use. Despite all the advertising nonsense out there, there is no free lunch with Miata brake pads and you should pick a Miata brake pad that matches your planned use and understand that as the pad bite increases, so will the dust and noise potential of that pad. If your use is street or autocross then pick from among our Hawk HPS, Mintex, factory pads, Greenstuff and Wilwood Q pads. If your use is track only, then look to our Miata Hawk Black, Blue, Porterfield R4 and Wilwood E Pads. If you need a dual purpose pad that can handle street, autocross, and light track use, and understand that the compromise comes with more dust and noise potential in street use than our dedicated street pads listed above, then look to our Hawk HP Plus, Wilwood Smart pads, and Porterfield R4S. See the descriptions of each Miata brake pad below for more information.
