Anyone know what size wheels the early proto-type NC race car (the one painted like the 787B) was wearing?

Yep, Racing Hart 18x7s. Made for more for show than go with the 18s on there.

How is this for interesting...RX7 wheels from one of our customers. 16x8 with 245/45/16s. I had been thinking this might make a great track setup and indeed they fit well. And this combination is slightly lighter than stock...by a few ounces. We plan to get some 245/45/16 race tires and either get an old set of these RX7 wheels for us or some SSRs in the same size.

Heard about optional 18s on the NC ?

Saw these at Mazda's R&D center today on a fresh NC...they say "Rays Forged" and "MazdaSpeed" on them. Apparently these are the rumored optional 18s? Loaded with 215/35/18 tires.

Here are the Rx7 wheels on scale with 245/45/16s...old worn out tires but lighter than stock and wider and yet very close match for stock diameter.

You wouldn't happen to have any other pics of that car with the 18's on it, would you? It looks like it's got the factory air dam and side skirts on it.

Agreed, the low profile 18s just make the gap look even worse...but still dying to know how light these rims are.

Here's the BEEF. Mounted up our Khumo 245/45/16 race tires. Did our corner balance today and alignment and our NC is all ready for her first Autocross tomorrow. Did a few of my favorite "test" freeway ramps today to "test" the feel of the setup. Feels SOOO good now. A blast to drive and now it STICKS. Over 60mph on the 25mph onramps and still not at the limit. Will find the limit at the autocross tomorrow. Such a blast to drive....can't wait!!!!
