All the clamping ability of a full race clutch but as friendly to drive as stock replacement. This is the clutch and flywheel combo we use in our supercharged MX5....and my 2.5 motor daily driver 2006. It was developed in response to my wife burning up two ACT clutch discs in just a few months while learning to autocross, she rode the high pedal pressure ACT clutches into dust and that sent us looking for alternative that could handle real power....but feel stock. Result is that pedal feels much like stock clutch, no heavy pedal here yet it works great for those with 12psi and more! This is a great choice for those who are stock hp now but planning to race or add boost.. BUT an ultra light flywheel and clutch combos includes the risk of transmission rattle, we can make a heavier version with steel flywheel if you think some rattle on decel of an ultralight package will bother you.

This is our STREET version of this popular clutch combo, using a steel flywheel to have just enough total weight to avoid clutch chatter (still a total 5.5 pounds less weight than stock for flywheel and clutch) YES, you can have it all....the ability to HOLD 300ft/lbs at the wheels, instant grab, but with a pedal that feels like stock! You will feel the difference coming off every corner. This is the first and only fully rebuildable carbon Miata clutch on the market currently. Smooth engagement with a pedal that feels stock! Carbon has to rub against itself so this new friction plate has a carbon surface screwed into it. The disc is carbon on both sides, which makes for very smooth engagement. The flywheel is steel and uses the same style carbon inserts as the friction plate. By building the clutch this way it is completely rebuildable by the customer out in the field. All they have to do is install new carbon pucks in the flywheel and friction plate and replace the disc at a cost much less than a new unit.
