Our street friendly 12 pound Exedy Flywheel combined with our Exedy Stage One Clutch kit...complete for an amazing price! Exedy is the premier Japanese OEM clutch supplier and EXEDY made your factory Miata clutch so when they told us they had finished a new organic disc heavy duty Miata clutch kit we took notice by installing one in our own Miata...and we love it.Increased clamping will take the abuse of autocross and track days and low boost applications. Will not hold near as much power as our ACT HD, but this EXEDY clutch gives a more stock-like release curve....very much like the factory clutch release curve! Pedal stiffer by about 20 percent. Kit comes complete with everything you need for installation including Pressure Plate, Clutch Disc, Throw Out Bearing, Pilot Bearing and Clutch Alignment Tool.
EXEDY Racing Flywheels are made from solid one piece billet Chromoly steel forgings. They are specifically designed to reduce weight and inertia for better engine response. Most incorporate special design features to enhance air flow to improve the cooling of the clutch. The ring gear teeth are milled onto the flywheel unlike an aluminum flywheel where the ring gear is pressed onto the flywheel and have the possibility of separating from the flywheel.

EXEDY Happy Meal Combo - Complete Flywheel and Clutch Kit
I got this kit because my car still had the original clutch and everything else from factory. It only has 73k miles but there was squeaking when depressing the clutch and letting on the gas. I am very happy I got the flywheel deal because the bearing the fly sits on was bad and so was everything else. The performance this clutch offers is so night and day compared to my last clutch and I can tell my miata is much happier. I am also very pleased with the fast shipping and service GWR offers.
If you are thinking of making a switch its very worth it.
This clutch is amazing. I love the way it feels. So smooth but strong. It makes me realize how garbage my clutch on my daily is.
One thing that wasn't explicit in the description: as far as I can tell, this is a flywheel for the 1.8 and the clutch for that as well, but as long as you are getting a clutch AND flywheel from a 1.8, you can attach them together onto the 1.6. Though not sure if you need alternate flywheel bolts to get this on a 1.6.
Another thing I just had to figure for myself was the flywheel pins/dowels. They are sided, and I could not find anywhere which side goes into the flywheel. And there were also no instructions on doing this, so after realizing it was going to be tight AF, I popped the flywheel into the oven for a while, then hammered the pins in as best i could, comparing the orientation to the removed clutch. Things seem fine...
Summary is though: this is the best clutch i've ever operated on any vehicle, ha ha.
