DESCRIPTION

This bump stop kit includes an upgraded polyurethane bump stop with a unique tapered bore. This means it is suitable for all types of shock absorber with rod diameters of anything from 10-22mm (and works with our 10mm Tokico and Koni 12mm rods). In addition it includes a durable shock absorber cover with ties to secure it to the shock absorber body. This will protect the central shock rod from damage and corrosion.

Kit includes 2 bump stops and 2 shock covers...which is enough for just ONE end of your Miata. So, if doing four shocks you need to order 2 of these kits!

PowerFlex Bump Stops and Boots

I installed these with Eibach springs and KYB AGX dampers a couple months ago. After just two months of non-aggressive driving on pretty smooth roads, three of the four bump stops have split apart. The fourth bump stop jammed itself down on the top of the KYB damper, restricting the shaft movement. It was jammed on there so badly that it had to be cut off of the damper.

It's a shame I had such a bad experience with these. I really liked the design, and the materials seemed like good quality. But they are not a good option for use with Eibach springs and KYB AGX dampers.

If you are thinking of running the same setup that I listed, you should consider shortening the bump stops by cutting off the bottom segment. Not sure if that will solve the problem. But running them as delivered definitely isn't recommended.

I ended up buying FatCat bump stops and reusing the stock dust boots. The FatCat bump stops are half the height of these Powerflex bump stops. Just finished the install tonight. We will see if they do better with the Eibach/AGX setup.

I really hated having to reinstall my springs and dampers again, especially so soon. It's a full day PitA project. This was an expensive and time consuming lesson.

Broken and falling apart after less than three years.
