ACT XACT flywheels are manufactured using chromoly forgings, also known as chromium-molybdenum steel, a metal which is three times more rigid than aluminum. The materials on ACT XACT flywheels are properly distributed for good heat tolerance, maximum strength and lower inertia.
Furthermore, ACT heat-treats their flywheel forgings for strength and induction, and hardens their ring gears for the longest gear life. ACT XACT flywheels can be resurfaced without the need to buy additional parts. All ACT XACT flywheels are SFI certified to meet proper safety standards.
The ACT XACT ProLite flywheels are the lightest XACT flywheels. They offer the best throttle response and lowest inertia. ACT manufactures their flywheels using high-tech CNC equipment and computer balancing to offer better reliability and smooth operation at high RPMs. ACT engineers put a significant amount of time into research to strategically slot XACT ProLite flywheels to lower inertia without sacrificing strength and heat dissipation. The ACT recommends XACT ProLite 600520 flywheel for Road and Rally Racing applications.
