Thank you. You have rated this product.

YES, you can have it all....full carbon ability to HOLD all the power (300 Ft/LBs!) but with a pedal that feels like stock! You will feel the difference coming off every corner.

This is the first and only fully rebuildable carbon Miata clutch on the market currently. Total Weight: 22lbs.

Smooth engagement!

This is a single disc carbon/carbon clutch with a STEEL flywheel for street users who want to hold massive torque, yet have light pedal and lower chance of chatter that comes with ultra light flywheels. It uses a stock style clutch cover but the friction plate is a light weight Billet Aluminum piece to replace the steel casting. Just by doing this we save 3-4lbs along with almost 2 lbs in the disc. The lighter the disc the less wear and tear on the trans syncros! Carbon has to rub against itself so this new friction plate has a carbon surface screwed into it. The disc is carbon on both sides, which makes for very smooth engagement. The flywheel is STEEL in this street version and uses the same style carbon inserts as the friction plate. By building the clutch this way it is completely rebuildable by the customer out in the field. All they have to do is install new carbon pucks in the flywheel and friction plate and replace the disc at a cost much less than a new unit.

SHIP NOTE: These are MADE TO ORDER. Please allow up to one month!

BRIAN'S APPLICATION NOTES: This is the clutch and flywheel combo we use in our supercharged MX5. Pedal feels much like stock clutch, no heavy pedal here yet it works great for those with 12psi and more! This is a great choice for those who are stock hp now but planning to race or add boost. All the clamping ability of a full race clutch but as friendly to drive as stock replacement. This is the STREET version with steel flywheel, easier to modulate for anybody facing stop and go traffic in their daily driving.

After reading many other positive reviews on both the GWR and Miata forums I finally decided to buy this product. My main concern for many months was whether or not I was up to the task of installing the header. But with the excellent instructions on Brian's forum as well as several Miata forum threads it turned out easier than I expected. After receiving notice that the header would arrive on a Friday afternoon, I began the disassembly process. After about 3 hours I had the stock manifold out. Later that afternoon the new catted header arrived right on schedule. And it is a thing of beauty. I opted for the stainless version. Installation on Saturday morning took another 3 hours, although I could have shaved some time off of that but I was actually enjoying the process of double checking torque values and cleaning up my engine compartment. I already have the GWR catted midpipe, so that connection was a snap. I put everything back together, reconnected my battery, and went for a drive. NO CODES! Nice throaty sound with my RSII muffler, and a significant boost in power and low/mid torque. Another happy camper here. I since have added a M-E tune and I feel I have realized all of the gains that Brian has achieved on his 2012 project Miata. I've put several hundred miles on my Miata since the install with zero problems. This is the car that Mazda should have built all along. Thanks Brian.
