Price per hub. So if you need two, order two!
For those racing with WIDE sticky tires upgrade your front MX5 hubs to these factory 2009+ RX8 hubs for safety and durability. These are much more beefy than your factory MX5 hubs because they were designed for the heavier four door RX8, but they are plug and play...they bolt right up to the MX5 because your MX5 is a shortened RX8 platform. We use these on our track MX5 and so should you.
This is the MADE IN JAPAN Genuine Factory Mazda Hub, not a knockoff from China like the other guys are selling that won't last like these will. We have seen the various brands sold at Rock Auto fail in a single weekend, don't risk your car on the junk!
Details direct from Mazda on the differences between the NC and RX8 hub, courtesy of our friends at Miatahubs:
While both hubs have similar external dimensions so that they can be interchangeable between the MX-5 and the RX-8 uprights (140mm diameter hub flange that is 10mm thick), internally is where the significant difference is.
This is where the details matter. The MX-5 bearing has a 3/8 inch ball bearing while the RX8 has a 13/32 ball bearing.
This contributes both to a static and a dynamic load rating difference.
MX-5: dynamic load ratting - 33,500N (3,400kgf), static load ratting - 26,800N (2,730kgf)
RX-8: dynamic load rating -38,500N (3,950kgf), static load ratting - 31,000N (3,200kgf)
The RX8 flange has some design characteristics that contribute to its overall load-bearing capability as well.

After reading stories of wheels falling off at the track, I decided to replace my 110k mile hubs. The swap is relatively easy....if your old hubs come right out. lol. Mine held in till their last beating with the slide hammer. My hands and forearms were numb from the slide hammer's beating. I put a little never-seize on the new ones before bolting them in from the back.
