Thank you. You have rated this product.

The Tein FLEX Z coilovers are a new affordably priced, non-rebuildable, version of the popular STREET FLEX coilovers.

The FLEX Z coilovers include:

*392lb (7kg) front springs and 336lb (6kg) rear springs
*Ride height adjustment with separate spring preload settings
*Upper mounts
*16-way damping force adjustment using ADVANCE NEEDLE technology which provides a much wider range of damping force adjustment per click
*EDFC series compatibility
*Proprietary ZT coated damper bodies and 2-layer powdercoating for lower brackets and upper mounts.

Tein was able to bring cost down on the new FLEX Z dampers by making them fully sealed units (non-rebuildable). The biggest benefit to a fully sealed non-rebuildable damper, other than the extremely affordable price, is a maintenance free damper. Although, we strongly recommend periodical inspection of external components such as the seat locks, spring seats, dust boots, and bump stops. Instead of rebuilding the damper, or if a damper fails several years down the line, single replacement dampers can be purchased to minimize downtime.

Sean's Notes:

These are a great option for folks looking for a street oriented coilover with separate ride height adjustments from spring preload. However, while the sealed damper design offers a lower cost, it does prevent any major spring rate changes as the internal valving cannot be altered.

BRIAN'S APPLICATION NOTES: Spring rates relatively close front to rear with this setup and that means most folks will want upgraded FRONT SWAY with this setup for best balance, leaving rear sway stock.

REVIEWS

Brian, Thank you!!! We last spoke in November about some upgrades for my 2011 MX5 soft top. It has finally warmed up in NE Ohio and two relaxed weekends of wrenching on my car were well worth the effort. Installation of the RoadsterSport ceramic coated street header was straight forward and took under 8 hours, including a 40 minute test drive and cleanup of the garage! Combined with the RoadsterSport Q exhaust, the sound is fantastic and the increased torque, horsepower and performance make it a blast to drive. The addition of the Cobalt shock tower brace, Racing Beat sway bars, ILM front power train and X braces really enhanced the ride - minimal body roll, comfortable and very responsive. Your recommendations really helped transform the car from great to fantastic. Your research, product development and candid recommendations make you a standout in the industry. My only questions are - what's next on my list .... And how soon will my wife want the same upgrades on her 2012 PRHT ... Again, thank you!!! Charles G

RE: RoadsterSport Stainless MX5 Miata Midpipe Part# 60-1328: I love the mid-pipe!! Not only is it beautiful, but it makes the sounds coming out of the 'race single' exhaust even better. The two go well together, and it mellows the decel drone a lot. I'm very happy with my purchase.
