This high friction racing material has grown to be a very popular choice for drivers who need a pad that bites when cold for street use but also has a high temperature ceiling to withstand track use.
Drivers can still have a high friction brake pad without worry of the pad becoming too cold to be effective when the car is driven only moderately. This makes for a pad that CAN be driven on the street. But, be aware, this is a racing pad at heart - it WILL dust! All track pads do. The R4-1 has gained great popularity as an excellent auto-cross and track day pad that can do it all. Great modulation, consistent pedal feedback and the same rotor friendliness as our other carbon kevlar compounds.
