DESCRIPTION

MeisterR ClubRace coilovers for the NA MX5.

Front Top Mount: Aluminium with spherical bearing
Front Springs Rate: 12.5kg/mm plus helper spring

Rear Top Mount: Aluminium (extended) with hardened rubber bushing
Rear Springs Rate: 7kg/mm

The MeisterR ClubRace coilovers take things up a notch with higher springs rate and damper valving and damper length and travel changes. Designed for high grip compound tires for fast road and occasional track day use. Digressive damping with MeisterR CRD (Close Ratio Damping) technology. The MeisterR ClubRace are designed to be the best all-around suspension for the Mazda MX5 within its price bracket.

Brian's Feedback: MANY customers asked us to try them. The upside is lots of BIG VALUE here, good quality springs and anodized everything and top mounts. I like these over the lower cost setup, more spring rate and I swear they ride better than the lower cost and lower spring rate setup (likely result of more travel control).

Not DOT or TUV approved, they come marked 'For Off-Road Use Only'.

MeisterR ClubRace Coilovers - NA

Installed these a few weeks ago and have about 500 miles on them. My car is mostly street driven, but will occasionally see track and autox duty.

Initially, I was concerned these would be too stiff for street use, but have been pleasantly surprised. At 24 clicks from full-stiff, they handle normal bumps, dips, bridge joints, etc very well. My girlfriend agrees and even thinks they ride better than the stock 95,000 mile suspension these replaced.

Haven't had an opportunity to track them yet, but can say the car is now flat through the corners, and I've even dialed up the stiffness to 14 clicks from full stiff on the front and 18 clicks from full stiff in the rear. Still easy to drive on the street, but the increased stiffness is noticeable.

These were installed at the height they were set at when received. Had read on the forums they come pre-set for height. Measuring the from the pinch welds, the car is at 5", which is what I wanted it at.

One note on installation. The front shocks came with some sort of bracket around the bottom portion of both shocks. I'm unsure what these are for, and the shock wouldn't fit through the UCA with them on, so they were removed.

Additionally, I would recommend ordering the extended knobs to adjust stiffness for the rears as they are impossible to reach if you have your spare tire and the finish panel that covers the gas lines installed.
