BRIAN'S NOTES
Hard to argue with Top Time of Day autocross results for this budget package in a field that included every sort of sports car from Ferrari to Porsche to Lotus to every BMW M badge. We started the day with spoiler at the "track" setting of about 20 . Through the day we kept adding more angle to the spoiler and the car got faster and easier to control at the limit, so we cranked it more and the car got even faster. Without the spoiler, don't think we would have taken home Top Time of Day. Did not intend the day to be a test day for the Blackbird Fabworx Lexan Spoiler, but it was fun and very satisfying to get the positive results with it.
Back from Laguna and thanks and shoutout for item made by buddy Moti Almagor of Blackbird Fabworx. Our Supercharged 07 has been the same car year after year without much change....until now. After good results using Moti's lexan rear spoiler on our Budget NC Racer above we decided to add the same to our old workhorse Supercharged NC just two days days before Laguna Miata Reunion. This project then went faster at Laguna on Sunday than it has in years. This car has always been a bit spooky full throttle out of turn four, the spoiler settled that spooky wiggle and I was able to lay the power more aggressively out of that turn, which is what you see first pic below....and we dropped times under the 1:39 mark for this car for the first time since this car was in a lot lighter trim years ago with carbon doors/front clip
