KONI Sport Shock with adjustable height and adjustable damping- Rear

DESCRIPTION

NEW for 2019 is Koni's widely popular Sport shock for Fiat 124 and MX5 now with three spring perch heights for ride height adjustment, plus damping adjustment from soft to firm. These have been signature features of Koni shocks for earlier cars and so we worked with Koni to bring these features now to the ND and 124 platform.

Perch 1: Raised height for cars with additional weight in the rear, or customers not wanting any lowering with stock springs.
Perch 2: OE factory height perch, note this does result in some lowering because the twin tube shock pressure is vastly lower than factory monotube, typically up to half an inch of lowering compared to stock monotube depending on how much pressure remained in the stock shock. This is the SCCA Street Class legal perch.
Perch 3: lowers 20mm with factory springs for both Abarth and Base models
Perch 4: lowers 30mm with factory springs for both Abarth and Base models

Included adjustment knob dials ride from SOFT to FIRM by just turning in the direction of arrows on the knob. That allows you to dial it soft for daily ride and firm for autocross and canyon and track fun, or any point in between for your ideal compromise of ride and handling.

INSTALL NOTE: Shock Rod is 12mm, stock bump-stop washer is 10mm, so you need to drill out the factory bump-stop washers slightly for install. Picture shows that clip ring has multiple positions, allowing lowering even with stock springs:
