PART NUMBER: 61-3194
HPS high temperature 4-ply reinforced silicone air intake hose kit replaces 2006-2008 MX5 stock OEM rubber restrictive air intake hose with high-heat resistance material which meets or exceeds OE specifications (Maximum temperature rating: 350F). Without any re-tuning, the HPS silicone air intake kit improves air flow, better throttle response and driveability. HPS silicone intake kit also helps to reduce heat soak. Tuning and modification are not required.
Besides performance gains, HPS silicone air intake hose kit is the perfect replacement part to prevent or fix the bad idling and air vacuum leak issue commonly caused by cracked, damaged or collapsed OEM rubber air injection hose.
2023 Update: Only available in BLACK. Red and Blue colors are discontinued.
Customers report YES this silicone elbow is compatible with the Xero Limit cold air intake, and the TDR intake!

I have been running the Moto East Intake on this car for the pat 4+ years but was leveraging the stock (not smooth at all) elbow to the throttle body. I saw this part, and was hopeful that it would fit in an effort to smooth the air coming in thru the intake. IT FITS!! It gets rid of the very rough elbow that the factory put in there. There is a wire harness/bracket that is attached to the stock elbow. A long zip tie let me put it right back where it belongs. I am happy with the end result. Honestly, Moto East should have included this piece in their kit...or at least now we know that these 2 pieces work together....so ORDER BOTH!!!
I bought Goodwin X-brace, and took out "sound enhancer" when installing. I thought this sound enhancer was pointless, so did not put that back. Instead, I bought NC1 intake tube/hose to use elbow (to the hose from PCV hose), and bought this HPS intake hose.
After installing HPS, I feel the acceleration improved... fun boost beyond 3000rpm. $120 is little expensive for me, but it's worth it.
Brian asked for a review, so here it is. This is a nice looking piece that smooths out the airflow into the throttle body. As for any performance gains I don't know. You would have to put your car on a dyno and do a before and after test.
