Anti-roll bars dramatically improve handling. How? They minimize the traction-robbing body "lean" that rolls part of the outside tires off the pavement. Our Sport-tuned anti-roll sway bar replaces the skinny OEM rear sway bar and rubber bushings with a larger diameter (stiffer) alloy steel bar and polyurethane bushings.
Fits AWD/4WD 2017-2025 Ridgeline ONLY. Does NOT fit Ridgeline prior to 2017 and does NOT fit Honda Passport.
More roll stiffness means less body "lean", and the tires stay flatter on the pavement (larger contact patches). The result is more grip and added driver control!
-Less body roll means more traction, faster cornering speeds, and increased driver confidence.
-Polyurethane bushings produce crisp response on turn-in. Made here in the USA by our friends at Progress Technologies. Progress Anti-roll bars are cold-formed in-house using custom-built precision bending equipment. Laser-cut and CNC bar ends are MIG welded in place using a precise fixture for an exact fit that is more durable than alternatives used by some other choices.
Features:
-Size: 28.5 mm SOLID
-Adjustment Range: 2 holes per side for a total of 3 possible stiffness settings
-All sway bars are powdercoated metallic gray.
-One year limited warranty
Brian's Notes: First Freeway 270 degree ramp with this was pure love, truck is so much more flat in the turn and much of the remaining stock understeering plow as you approach the limit is finally gone in favor of a much more neutral truck. A decade ago we did a special order from factory of a Dakota shop truck as a "SPORT" version with upgraded rear sway to get decent balance in that machine, Honda won't do that sort of customization so here we are doing it ourselves to get a more sporty driving G2 Ridgeline.
There are many different ways to measure the rate of a bar setup and most companies do the naked bar rate and that is not very helpful in my mind because bars are ONLY used as translated through the mounting and too often the mounts are left to do all the flexing that the bar is not doing. So, here it was tested in a rig with the mounting hardware. That means we put a lot more work into the mounting stiffness and you can see here the gusseted brackets and that we sandwich a steel plate at the attachment to the chassis. Result is much stronger than stock mounting. The bar is 28.5mm solid, and if the stock bar has a rate of 100# as mounted with stock mounting, here you are getting 200# to 234# (depending on attachment point of the endlinks). Yes, we are neatly doubling rear sway bar rate and a bit more...and the difference is instantly obvious on freeway ramps. These Anti-roll bars are cold-formed using custom-built precision bending equipment. Laser-cut and CNC bar ends are MIG welded in place using a precise fixture for an exact fit that is more durable than alternatives used by some other choices.
During development I had the installation in my home driveway on set of ramps down to under 15 minutes. Thus I am a bit surprised by a few early adopters telling me it took them several hours to install. If you have the tools, it is pretty easy. Have handy the set of allen keys and open ended Gearwrench set and you can get the endlinks disconnected in about a minute per side. We had some Acura MDX customers ask us about fitment, but we understand that platform is similar yet not the same and on the MDX the spare tire would potentially rub the bar and need some sort of spacer to stay off the bar on that application.

The Ridgeline should come from the factory with this installed. It REALLY helped with turn in and rotation. Hwy28 and Tail of the Dragon approved!
Got it installed and I could definitely tell a tighter back end of the vehicle seems to have made a difference in handling in around turns
Well, when I first picked up my new truck I was happy with the ride and handling... Once I got used to it I began to look how I could improve the handling of it. I found answers on the forum and decided to go with the Goodwin rear bar. the install was easy and now I Love driving this truck. After the winter I plan on installing the lowering springs and doing a wheel/tire upgrade! Hope this helps you make the decision I made!
My 13yr old helped me install this in the garage without ramps or jacks. We were very surprised how easy it was to remove the stocker & install the new sway bar. Disconnecting the 2 mufflers with 4 bolts allows the sway bar to drop in & out. Now on to the driving manners review.
Taking the turns in the truck instantly put a smile on my face as we went through the neighborhood roundabout. It definitely feels more planted in turns ultimately making the truck more enjoyable to drive. I told my brother in-law today he needs to get this too.
I purchased the anti-roll bar for the rear of my Ridgeline a couple of months ago. I waited to do a review until I had time to drive it a little. I installed it in the softest setting (outer holes) to start with as recommended. It really improved turn-in as stated in the ad and other reviews. So far I have not found any problems with daily driving. You can really tell a difference. The body roll is really minimal. I will probably leave it in the outer setting (softer) holes for the street. I may change the setting later just to see how it changes but, I think it may be too stiff for daily driving on the stiffer setting. I do like the bar and would buy it again. Love my ridgeline and this bar only made it better. Very easy to install. Took only an hour total.
Thanks guys!
I just installed this sway bar on my Ridgeline, even though body roll is minimal (for a truck) stock. As such, I was pleasantly surprised to notice how much difference this bar made. I installed it at the hardest setting and the reduced understeer was immediately noticeable.
An installation note: On newer models with dual exhaust, disconnecting the tail pipes - which literally took 30 seconds - makes the installation much easier. It's not necessary to remove them completely - I left them hanging. In fact, I'm not sure its even possible to install the sway bar with the exhaust in place. Access to the bracket bolts is also much easier with the exhaust disconnected. With the tail pipes disconnected, the most time consuming part of the installation was jacking up the truck and removing the wheels.
The sway bar is wonderful! Really tightened up the handling on the Ridgeline. I do have an installation tip! Install the 10mm bolts from the backside of the sway bar brackets. Purchase 4 10x1.25mm flange nuts and use them on the front side of the brackets. This makes aligning the brackets much easier.
