DESCRIPTION
Dramatically Change the look of your car with these LED sequential tail lights which replace the OEM tail lights on your NC. They are fully plug and play and install in 5 minutes! This is the SMOKED version. We also carry a clear version, listed separately on our site.
Sequential LED side light, STOP, TAIL and REVERSE functions
Listed here for 2009-2015 because that is what they fit perfectly. These do actually work in all 2006-2015 MX5s, but they are patterned off an NC2/3 (2009-2015) light and the shape along the bottom of the light changed very slightly between the early 06-08 MX5s and the later 09-15's. So these will mount up to a 2006-2008 car, but they will leave a small gap at the bottom edge between the light and the body on those early NCs. Despite that, folks do use NC2/3 tail lights on NC1 without issues.

These were exceptionally easy to swap in. 3 10mm bolts each side, and easy do click electric adapters. The fit seems perfect. I got the smoked plastic, and they look great on my black car.
Ain't that tail sweet! Just finished the install of these and the car is taking a new look. Paired with the CarbonMiata soft top carbon spoiler, I am starting to get a Darth Vader vibe.
All kidding aside, visibility with these is more dynamic, and anything to get better attention of the surrounding vehicles scores a "safety" point for me as well. The adjacent review was 100% correct for installation notes, and was appreciated. I'll try to post some photos on the project car page. Look for "LeMario".
Installation was pretty easy. OEM taillights have four connections. These taillights only use three of the four OEM connections. The driver side taillight has a connection with a long wire that connects to the passenger side taillight. All taillight functions work - turn signal, brake light, reverse lights, and flashers. Make sure you have extra trim fasteners as all the trunk plastics need to be removed to access the rear of the taillight assemblies. I am very satisfied with look of the smoked taillights on the Sparkling Black Mica car.
