> Manufactured entirely from 304-stainless steel for superior durability, this 4:1 Miata header is sure to offer many years of enthusiastic Miata performance driving.Over 200 on-chassis dyno runs allowed Racing Beat to determine the optimum tubing diameter and lengths for both the primary and secondary tubes. Racing Beat also took the opportunity to experiment with various engine-to-header flange porting configurations and collector designs specifically on the Miata application.
This development allowed Racing Beat to fine-tune the performance of this header to achieve performance that is superior to stock at all points of the RPM range. Racing Beat's exclusive cast, stainless steel engine-to-header flange features specially designed exhaust ports that transition smoothly to the primary tubing. Large diameter 1.7" OD tubing has been used for the primary tubing, and then collects into the 2.375" OD secondary.
But, does NOT fit with many Miata supercharger setups. So, get this Miata header if you do not plan to add a supercharger to your Miata.
Note that adding any header makes a slight increase in the exhaust sound level on your Miata. Note that latest version of this Racing Beat Miata Header has a small factory installed dent for clearance to the Miata steering assembly.

Brian's Application Notes: Year after year our top choice was the Racing Beat header you see here, and year after year they ran out of stock because the batches of Cast flanges would be too warped to use and then they would be out of stock for months trying to get a good batch. We got tired of that, customers were tired of that, so we did our own 4-1 header in the RoadsterSport brand with same size tubing that avoids the use of the problematic cast flanges and otherwise is similar for primary length and all stainless construction. So, the Racing Beat is certainly still good, but we think our RoadsterSport header is better.

Racing Beat NB Miata Header 99-00
Looks and fits great. No complaints. The EGR bung matches up to the stock tube even if the pic doesn't show it.
I purchased the RB header for my 99 Miata, I finally installed it I had an issue removing the EGR tube .So I had to replace with new one, I also combined it with the roadster midpipe I noticed increased power and sound thanks for the advice again Brain
Bought the Racing Beat Header for my 2000 MX-5 SE right after I bought the car because it originally came with a cast iron manifold. The RB not only looks great and changes the underhood apearance quite a bit, it actually made a noticable performance difference even with the standard exhaust system. Well worth the money. I finally sprung for a Racing Beat muffler to go with the Good-Win aftermarket cat that I bought to replace my factory cat when my coil pack failed on a trip and cooked my factory catalytic convertor. That part wouldn't fit with the factory muffler and I've been driving with a check engine light because of that for a few years. coil pack failed at abt 70,000 and I got about 110,000 on the car now. Still looks like new and I have no desire to replace it.
