DESCRIPTION
The Racing Beat exhaust for Mazda 6 Skyactiv is an ideal upgrade for the Mazda 6 owner looking to add a bit more sporting tone and attitude to their driving experience. Engineered and developed in-house by Racing Beat, our Mazda 6 exhaust components are produced using only 304-stainless steel materials; then polished to a brilliant shine for an outstanding appearance. Each muffler unit is an easy-to-install rear muffler assembly and can be readily installed by any weekend mechanic using only simple hand tools! All required mounting hardware is included.Mazda included a non-removable catalytic converter unit in the mid-pipe section of the vehicle that unfortunately prevents the easy installation of a true "bolt-on, cat-back" exhaust system. The Racing Beat Mazda 6 muffler section attaches directly to the outlet of the stock mid-pipe section using a Mazda OE mounting flange and utilizes all the original hanger mounting positions. The Racing Beat Mazda 6 Skyactiv exhaust is 50-state emissions compliant.
All Racing Beat exhaust components are tuned in-house to provide a balance of tone quality and aggressive spirit. The Mazda 6 Skyactiv exhaust has been developed specifically for use on the Skyactiv engine and produces a very deep, low exhaust note - without any harsh, buzzy, or droning sounds. Whether driving in-town or on the highway, the Racing Beat exhaust system produces an ideal tone to match the personality of the fun-to-drive and sporty Mazda 6.

I read as many reviews as I could find, watched all the Youtube videos, searched the forums. Once I decided the Racing Beat exhaust was the best choice for me, I went looking for the best price I could find. Ended up at Goodwin Racing. I've never owned a Miata, but I've known about Goodwin Racing from years of being an automotive enthusiast(one day, an NC will be mine!), so I knew I was buying from a reputable shop. Goodwin, Racing Beat, and I are all in California. Goodwin had a better price shipped to my door then the manufacturer did. Not sure how that works, but win for me.
Enough about Goodwin, they rock.
The Racing Beat exhaust is a nice bit of kit. It fits. It looks great. The tips fill the OE cutouts perfectly. It sounds great when you get on it. There is no drone when I leave it in 6th and climb a hill. There is no drone at all. The wife doesn't complain about the noise it does make, which is low and throaty off idle, then good bass as you get on the cams and get to redline.

Goodwin is a great shop to get the parts you need, the Racing Beat 2014+ Mazda6 exhaust is perfect for this car.
This exhaust was exactly what I was looking for. It's made in USA which was my number one priority. Secondly, under steady-state cruising, it's no louder than stock. This was important to me for long trips - I didn't want hours of mundane noise just driving down the interstate. The muffler is maybe 15-20% louder than stock (at most) under acceleration or deceleration. It has a bit more bass but not in a "rattle your neighbors windows" type of way. It's a very tuned sounding exhaust. Not at all like a typical Honda or Subaru exhaust. Lastly, the build quality/ shipping and fit/ finish are superb. The muffler came very well packaged in a huge box with tons of padding. It came with new exhaust gaskets and hardware and instructions. The entire thing took maybe 15 minutes to put on - it wouldn't take more than 30 minutes if it were your first time. The welds and craftsmanship of the muffler are awesome. It fit perfectly and required no adjustments.
