Brian's APPLICATION NOTES: Likely the best bargain right now in 17x9, flow formed for strength and very nicely finished. ONE CAUTION, it seems Konig is trying to play more like Enkei and included cast aluminum fancy center caps instead of industry standard cheap snap-on plastic caps. The result looks high end compared to plastic caps on wheels of similar cost but BE CAREFUL to do little more than finger tight with the very tiny allen head screws that attach the caps, use a dab of locktite, do NOT apply significant torque to the screws or they will strip out immediately! Tight lug pocket means we suggest our various tuner lug upgrades with these wheels, such as our McGard Spline Drive Lugs.

These hypergrams are very handsome equipment. The contrast of dark grey and the Mazda polymetal grey (crayon-looking color) is pretty striking. Added the Goodwin RoadsterSport black anodized, aluminum open-ended lug nuts to complete the package. These hypergrams are as light as the OEM 17" wheels. These respond well to the wheel-care products I use (sealants, waxes, and brake dust cleaners). Many track days and these wheels seem to be quite resilient both in structure and in finish. The offset looks aggressive, especially with 235/40 or 245/40 tires. The hips look much sexier and the rear more substantial with this setup compared to OEM. Having tracked a few setups with stock and near-stock tire/wheel sizes, I can say that combining 235/40/17 200TW tires with these 17x9 wheels produces obscene grip and confidence on the track. The limits are instantly extended beyond expectation, especially when combined with quality coilovers and a big brake kit. The hypergrams fit beautifully over the 12.88" six-pot brake kit from Goodwin.
Light weight 17x9's. I purchased these for track days, but they would work for you any days. I put 245/40/17's on for now. They fit without any issues. I also have the Good-Win Racing Big Brake Kit and these wheels clear them just fine. I went with the Matte Gray color and the 61-0373ND Black anodized aluminum valves for 6UL wheels. Although not required, I also purchased the 21-1063ND Hubcentric Rings.
