The Ampliform is an all new mesh inspired, flow formed wheel design from Konig designed to be light and strong.
Motorsport inspired, the Ampliform's spoke profile design lends to efficient brake cooling as well as exceptional brake caliper clearance.
With any wheel Konig develops with Flow Forming Technology, the end result is stronger, lighter and offers greater elongation and shock resistance than a traditional cast design, including an extra strong load rating on this fitment of 700kg each!
YES, clears our Wilwood Big Brake Kits and Our Wilwood Caliper Kits.
Does not clear optional Brembo calipers.
These wheels are gorgeous. They look just as spectacular as Konig's video which is shown on the product page, lots of metallic flakes and a high shine. The color is very similar to the stock club wheels. The center cap is a flat black, with three of the five hex screws used to fasten it on. The Konig brand piece is applied with peel/stick adhesive and very easy to fit without error.
I used 235/40/17 Yokohama S-Drive tires. They do provide extra rubber to protect the wheels from curb rash, as mentioned, but they do not look too bulbous or oversized. The sidewall looks nice and straight, with an aggressively wide tread. Rubbing has not been an issue under normal street driving on the stock club suspension. I'm able to easily go full lock in parking lots in either direction, in addition to pulling in/out of my inclined driveway while hitting the curb at full lock. I haven't yet been able to push them to the limits on the road, but I suspect it will take a very deliberate, uncommon scenario if they were to rub.
The site recommends "1.5 degrees of negative camber or more" for this tire size, which I asked for at the tire shop, but they returned my car without doing the alignment, along with a report showing I had 0.5 degrees which they said was fine. (This was after berating me for having wheels/tires that "wouldn't fit" just beforehand of course..) I mention this for the stock club suspension owners out there worried about fitment, since mine are fine so far.
Make sure to get the 73mm hubcentric rings for these wheels. They're cheap, and they easily and securely fit into the wheels with a light tap from a rubber mallet. I also used the McGard Spline Drive lugs which worked great. Goodwin Racing makes it a breeze as always.
