I purchased the three pieces separately gradually installing them overtime.
The first thing that comes to mind when I received them and held them in my hands was the word quality. My friend that was with me when I unboxed the midpipe used the word robust. Header mid pipe and exhaust are all extremely well-built and Will obviously stand the test of time. When installing make sure your first O2 sensor goes in the header and your second O2 sensor goes in the mid pipe on the far end of the catalytic converter.
I had previously purchased literally the most inexpensive header mid pipe and exhaust you could find on the internet for my Miata and it was great for about 1 hour LOL the first night driving home from work with the car screaming as I flew down the highway was terrible. It was so bad I took the mid pipe and exhaust out and put my stock ones back in.
After this experience sound became incredibly important to me! I was afraid of purchasing something that would make me sound like a little racer boy again. It's a shame that the car is so quiet from the dealer and if you're not careful you can sound absolutely terrible raspy and way too loud. That led me to quite a bit of research as well as listening to literally hundreds of audio clips on YouTube and all across the internet searching for the right exhaust.
This exhaust is perfect. The tone is deep and rich. Not too loud perhaps even a bit on the quiet side but it sounds absolutely fantastic. You really can't go wrong with this deep rich tone.
Moving past the sound and the quality of the build if you're moving from a stock exhaust into a full exhaust system like this you are going to be absolutely shocked at the difference in performance. It is quite literally like you bolted a bigger engine into the vehicle. The difference in performance is night and day. Now the Miata pulls quite nicely putting you back in your seat when you launch hard.
Between this full exhaust system higher octane fuel and my ECU tune it feels like totally and completely different car.
If you're willing to take a bit of advice from a stranger get the whole system at one time and slap it in. This is the way to go.
