Prepay For Next Delivery
The ultimate tool for logging vehicle and lap data for driver, lap time, and vehicle performance evaluation and improvement.
All Global MX5 Cup Cars use the AIM MXL2 logger dash!
The AiM MXL2 Dashlogger offers an attractive and easy to use interface that is perfect for amateurs and pros alike. Able to acquiring, display, and log data from your ECU, internal accelerometer & gyro, and from the included GPS Module. Combining all of these data streams into one singe display and logging unit gives you unparalleled power to know everything happening with the car, engine, your lap times, and your driving, and then to be able to review that data at your convenience.
Finally, the MXL2 is limitlessly expandable using the built-in CAN bus. Easily integrate accessories such as a SmartyCam camera system, or Lambda controller. Add as many sensors as you want, without the need for additional gauges cluttering up your interior. Configuration is easy through the included Race Studio 3 software from AiM, and the dash can easily be accessed through the integrated WiFi connection.

You can define up to eight different custom pages, choosing among a wide library of page styles, defining which data to be shown, their end of scale and measure units.
Sharp liquid crystal display
The MXL2 display features a high contrast traditional LCD, with a black to white ratio nearly double its predecessor, fused with a graphical LCD offering great flexibility in information display and alerts.
The MXL2 now offers a dual colored backlight of high contrast white and red which can also be changed conditionally. An ambient light sensor keeps the backlight at optimum brightness levels.
AiM systems can acquire data from your factory ECU. AiM currently offers drivers for 1,000 + different ECUs, both factory and aftermarket; and they are expanding the applications constantly. Drivers are available for both the 2006-2015 MX5 and the 2016+ MX5.
Six different alarm LEDs: you choose the conditions, the colors and the flashing frequency.
You can configure them in order to turn them on/off depending on analog or digital inputs, ECU values, expansion values, GPS information or math channels.
You can also program an alarm LED, a message, and a digital output with each event.
Integrated shift light array
An integrated shift light is a hallmark of the MXL, but an even better 10 LED shift light array is found in the MXL2.
Choose from a host of advanced multicolored RGB shift light patterns that can be customized as you like, and for each unique gear when required.
Thanks to the GPS08 Module (included in the kit) and its Race Studio 3 software, you can immediately get laptimes and all data needed for engine tuning as well as for improving driving technique.
GPS08 is more precise than most of the existing GPS systems, as it has been designed to add to the GPS satellite's signal the Global Navigation Satellite (Glonass) system's signal. With an average of almost twenty satellites working in conjunction, GPS08 guarantees a precision and a reliability simply not comparable to old generation GPS systems.
Internal accelerometer and gyro
The internal three-axial accelerometer and the gyroscope provide the AiM system a very powerful array of information. These force and motion sensors enable you to quantify the dynamic characteristics of your vehicle. Measuring acceleration forces and gyro rates can assist in determining how to improve your vehicle performances. This info, paired with the GPS track data, can be used to show you lateral and longitudinal G forces around a track, and more. A very powerful tool for evaluating laps and vehicle performance.
Two digital outputs
MXL2 features two digital outputs. The two digital outputs (Dout) are LOW SIDE type (switch to ground): they can be configured in order to be turned on/off depending on the value of the analog or digital inputs.
They permit to automatically run external systems, i.e. to switch on/off additional lights, to activate/de-activate a cooling fan or circulation pumps, etc. when a certain event happens.
MOUNTING: This is a universal race part. Not specifically designed to be mounted in any particular car. Requires custom mounting/brackets, which is up to you.
