OS Giken METAL clutch alignment tool for NC 6 Speed

DESCRIPTION

METAL clutch alignment tool for NC 6 speed transmission ONLY. Not for 5 speed. Plastic alignment tools are fine for single plate clutch installs, but they are not exact enough to adequately align multiple clutch discs with each other. Thus, when installing a multi-plate clutch kit, it is important to use a metal input shaft/alignment tool. This ensures that all clutch discs are aligned straight and true to each other and to the pilot bushing/bearing of the flywheel. It is possible to warp the clutch discs upon install if the gearbox is shifted or jiggled. If the gearbox does not slide in easily, remove and inspect/realign the clutch plates. Any shift can cause leverage at the input shaft and cause it to warp. OS Giken does not supply a plastic tool with their twin plate clutches as they are inadequate for such an install. The metal alignment tool does not come with the clutch either as it is not cost efficient. Can be used for any single disc clutch install for NC 6 speed transmission too, but critical for multi-disc clutch install.
