The Goodwin Racing HyperMiata is Ryan's Time Attack car. It began as his street car and personal passion and has evolved over more than a decade into the record setting car you see here. This car is all about lap times, and takes the fight to giants that most think are out of the Miata's league; Corvettes, Porsches, Vipers, GTRs and more.

The HyperMiata is powered by a 325hp GM V6 and GM 6 speed using V8Roadsters' swap kit. Full details and updates on the swap can be found in our forum.

MORE: ... the Global Time Attack series, we traveled to Circuit of the Americas in February 2019 for the inaugural Superlap Battle USA. There we took 5th place in Limited class, with the four cars ahead of us having a combined 3000 horsepower! Always pushing to go faster, Ryan is designing a supercharger kit from scratch for the V6 to level the playing field on power... Stay Tuned!
