DESCRIPTION

Ultralight battery mounting kit for small powersport-style lithium batteries. This is for RACERS, we don't see much point for regular street customers, but for autocross or track day customers this makes for one of the easiest ways to reduce weight on the nose of the car.

Battery NOT included, universal bracket accepts many of the popular small batteries on the market. We like the "Smart" Lithium batteries like Battery Tender LiFePO4 BTL24A480CW (4.0 lbs) and the Antigravity ATX-12-HD (3.0 lbs) but plenty of other options as well (our Budget NC project uses normal lead acid ETX12-BS 12v12ah that cost us $28 on Amazon!). Research the specs of these so you can pick the choice right for your use.

Maximum battery dimensions this bracket will accommodate are: 7 1/16" Wide x 4" Deep x 5 3/8" Tall.

This bracket bolts in place of the battery tray using the factory M6 hardware and mounting holes.

Battery sizes differ slightly from brand to brand so most batteries will fit loosely within this bracket and we recommend using adhesive-backed foam or rubber on the bracket to take up the extra space between the bracket and the battery on each side so that the battery fits snug and cannot move. Thickness needed depends on the dimensions of your battery, add layers until the battery is held securely in place.

Cable attachment:
No adapters are needed to attach your positive and negative battery leads to a powersports style battery. All of these batteries ship with the appropriate bolts and block nuts for their posts. To attach the NC cables to the battery, loosen the M6 nut holding the ring terminal to the cable, remove the ring terminal, and then you're left with a nice flat tab cable end with a hole in it. Attach that tab to the new battery with the hardware that came with the battery.
