A track pad that works on the street? Impossible!
StopTech SR33 Compound
This is the same brake pad compound used on the HyperMiata, but we're getting customer reports that the pad actually behaves better than most track pads on the street as well. Who knew!? No, this is not a replacement for Mazda OE pads, but it IS a pad fit for the racetrack that actually has good cold bite and doesn't squeal like most race pads. This compound has been available for the StopTech calipers as used in the StopTech front and rear Big Brake Kits on our site, and it is now also available for the 1.8L factory calipers!
