Clutch Masters FX350: Big torque capacity without the heavy pedal!
Heavy duty pressure plate. Sprung hub Fiber Tough Friction lined disc.
Clutch Masters is recommended by our transmission specialists because they are easier on the transmission than alternatives with ultra high pressure plates. This FX350 with Fiber Tough Friction disc can handle up to 400 ft lbs of torque while feeling hardly any more aggressive than stock. Clutch Masters calls it "15% more aggressive" than a standard full organic disc.
The Fiber Tough disc also does not have any finicky break in requirements like kevlar alternatives.
Includes pressure plate, clutch disc, throwout bearing and alignment tool.
Break-In Notes: To allow the friction material to properly seat to the flywheel and pressure plate, all Clutch Masters clutches require a minimum break-in period of 500 miles of normal stop-and-go driving (no full throttle shifting or compression braking) before full abuse can be initiated. Cruising on the highway doesn't count as break-in miles because you are barely using the clutch.
As used in our own NC Budget Racer Project:
Brian's feedback. Got this in our Budget NC Racer that first went 2.5 liter and now has a turbo on it. This clutch is not a heavy pedal, barely more pedal stiffness than stock and yet it seems to hold the power nicely if the car is about 300 hp, count me as impressed. Nonetheless, though rated by the maker at up to 400 ft/lbs please take that with grain of salt because we had this unit starting to slip once we upgraded turbo on the budget NC project and were just in the upper 300 range.

Recently had this clutch professionally installed. Pedal force is very close to stock, only noticeably heavier. Grab zone feels narrower than stock so smooth shifts take a bit more finesse. Plan on adding a turbo so hopefully it holds the extra torque as advertised!
