DESCRIPTION
Raw catalytic converter with unwelded ends so that you can have your local exhaust shop cut out your old cat and weld this replacement in. ONLY for those who have our RoadsterSport midpipes for NC (2006-2015) or ND (2016+) MX5.
Note most of our RoadsterSport midpipes are available with either 4" or 5" cats - and some only come with one or the other. Make sure you know which size cat your midpipe has before ordering a replacement!

Brian's Notes: BEST results with the 5 inch! Why? MUCH more area for flow on the 5 inch means more surface area for the emissions coated material to help you avoid engine codes from the O2 sensor placed after the midpipe converter when using our catless headers, and the bigger 5 inch converter does much better sound control, and the 5 inch converter is going to last a lot longer. Replacement Catalytic Converter for RoadsterSport Midpipe
Noted insidious loss of power, then old Roadster Sport mid pipe converter rattled for a few days. Then went silent again with increased power loss and decreased muffler volume. This unit had was installed 10 years ago. There was not an option to replace the mid pipe unit alone without the entire cat back system. Ordered this 5 inch Magnaflow replacement from Goodwin Racing for reasonable price and local specialty muffler shop cut out worn out unit and welded this in for $130. They were initially worried about fit of 5 inch unit, but it went in no problem with my manual transmission. Instantly running much better with sound and power even slightly better than before the Roadster Sport mid pipe converter failed. Complete repair with parts and labor around $430. Way better than I expected. 5 stars.
