Lightweight fiberglass race trunk in the OEM shape by CCP Fabrication for the 06-15 NC MX5 Miata. Fits soft top cars only, does not fit PRHT cars.

This is a RACE trunk. Made for those who want the lightest trunk lid possible for their race car. One should not expect OEM fitment. Duplicate of original shape but a fraction of the weight. Hand laid fiberglass with white gelcoat. Has OEM-like structure on the underside with embedded nuts to accept OEM hood hinges and latch striker. Approximately 5 lbs.
CCP constructs their body panels with hand laid fiberglass over a white gelcoat that is ready to paint. The molds release a glossy white panel, tempting to forgo painting, but require painting (or vinyl wrap) to maintain integrity as gelcoat does not contain UV protection.
