DESCRIPTION

Simple and effective way to eliminate the sound tube on your 2016+ ND MX-5. Improve sound, save weight, and simplify your engine bay!

2024 NOTE: We've received reports from some owners of 2024's that their cars did not have a sound tube, whereas other 2024's do. So check your car to see if you have a sound tube before purchasing a delete!

CAD designed and made from a special carbon fiber reinforced nylon via additive manufacturing for a super strong, lightweight, and extremely heat resistant part that blends in to your engine bay. Features beveled edges, a beaded end for secure fit, and tabs and notches matching the factory part so it cleanly slots into the factory rubber intake elbow and looks like it was made to be there (because it was!).

Also includes a rubber plug to seal off the small hole left in the firewall when you remove the sound tube.

ND Sound Tube Delete

worked well at a fair price, might want to provide a fresh piece of hose along with the product.

Interesting discovery regarding this item. I have a Goodwin roadster sport super q twin tip muffler on my 2022 nd. I run it without the baffles and love the sound, except i would get this very annoying burble ( other than the muffler) when at neutral throttle and hovering between throttle on and off. It was a very annoying and unpleasant sound (at least to me). So I was thinking that maybe the sound was somehow related to the sound tube, so as a test i pulled the sound tube from the firewall and went for a test drive.... voila success. The annoying burble was gone! In one of my recent emails from Goodwin I noticed this part for sale for a very reasonable price and ordered one to solve the problem once and for all. Perfect.
Thanks Goodwin
