DESCRIPTION
ACT Stage 2 Clutch and Flywheel combo. This combo comes complete with Flywheel, Pressure Plate, Clutch Disc, Throw Out Bearing, Pilot Bearing and Clutch Alignment Tool.
Stage 2 Clutch:
ACT's cerametallic Xtreme 6-puck race disc with sprung hub paired with their heavy duty pressure plate makes for a combo that can hold up to 400 ft-lbs of torque! (remember torque rating is at the crank, not at the wheels). This is the clutch for those adding serious horsepower to their MX5. Recommended for track use only. The pucked clutch disc will engage faster (within a narrower range of pedal motion) than the Stage 1's full face disc, so this clutch will be more work to drive on the street in stop and go driving. Expect the clutch to "shudder" a bit as it quickly engages when you take off from a stop - this is normal for high performance clutches that engage quickly.

This clutch is compatible with the factory flywheel, but here we bundle it with a lightweight flywheel. If you're ever going to do it, now is the time while the transmission is already out!
Streetlite Flywheel:
ACT XACT StreetLite Fywheels is 14.1 lbs and provides improved engine response, acceleration and a higher degree of safety than the heavy stock flywheel.
StreetLite Flywheels are true one-piece designs CNC machined from forged Chrome-moly which is stronger and more durable than billet steel or aluminum. This flywheel can be resurfaced with no need to purchase additional parts.
