DESCRIPTION

Goodwin Racing SuperSport performance lowering springs for the 2022+ Ford Maverick AWD models. As near to a 'RACE' spring as anyone is likely to engineer for these trucks. Confirmed to fit both gas-only and hybrid versions as long as the truck is an AWD. Does NOT fit front wheel drive models.

Developed and tested and produced here in the USA in cooperation with our friends at Progress Technology.

HIGHER spring rate and slightly lower ride height with these SuperSport springs than you get with our standard Maverick lowering springs. Intended for those who are doing performance driving and want their truck to handle as flat as possible, and who really want that sport truck look with no rake.

If you want best ride quality for any lowering springs, you want our other springs (item 61-3430), which work with all factory shocks. These are MORE serious than any spring from Eibach or H&R and they need the upgraded shocks that come on the LOBO package. The spring rates are MORE than all other choices, and that means they ride more firm than other choices. We installed these in our 2022 Lariat using a brand new set of shocks from Ford that are intended for the LOBO package.

Front Spring Rate 200 lbs, Rear Spring Rate 500 lbs (stock is only 148 front and 338 rear, and our standard Maverick lowering springs are 175 front and 400 rear).

Ride Height change: Front: -2.2", Rear: -3.1". Resulting ride height is about 17.6 inches front from center of wheel up to fender lip, and 17.75 rear.

These SuperSport springs are TOO MUCH spring rate for standard Maverick struts, but a perfect pairing with the Ford factory LOBO struts, which fit in all Mavericks. The full set of LOBO struts at the dealer is about $500, part numbers below:

SZ6Z-18124-F - Front Left Strut

SZ6Z-18124-E - Front Right Strut

SZ6Z-18125-B - Rear Struts

When installing lowering springs and making no changes to alignment we ended up -1.7 to -1.9 on camber all around. Since we do actually do autocross and track this truck for giggles we would take even more camber. Thus, we installed our EZ Cam Front Camber Correction Bolts and moved the front to -2.5 Camber. Around town we drive hard enough in the turns that this level of camber did not give us tire wear issues on our 2022 Maverick. If you do a lot of freeway straight driving you might want to use the EZ Cam Front Camber Correction Bolts on the same product page as the springs to dial camber back down, and our SPC Adjustable Rear Camber Arms, to something more like -1.2 to -1.4 all around. The ideal camber numbers just depends on YOUR personal mix of driving, the more straight boring highway work you do, the more you want to dial that camber back down to something like -1.2 all around.

TRACK TESTING! Nobody else does this to test their springs, certainly not Eibach or H&R. SCCA track event at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. We both towed our trailer and race car to the event, and did a full session on track with our 2022 using these springs and our sway bar set to full stiff. Surprised a few sports cars! Note we use our EZ CAM Front Camber 'Correction' bolts to actually dial MORE camber instead of less, we did -2.5 at front. We added our SPS Adjustable REar Camber Arms and ISC Suspension Rear Toe Arms to go zero toe at rear with -1.2 rear camber so that towing loads don't cause tire wear issues.

YES, we tow with these springs! That 500 pound rear rate means that even though we are lowered we have the support for tow use. We have towed not just on the freeway with this setup, but even through high mountain curvy roads to and from events.
