Sparco QRT-X Water Repellant Competition Seat Black

DESCRIPTION

The QRT-X is the same shell as the Sparco QRT-R but features a unique water repellant cover that is quick to dry. The cover is also dust resistant and does not hold dust like traditional cloth. The new material is soft to the touch and cooler than vinyl in direct sunlight.

QRT is Sparco s patented ultra-light technology. This QRT Technology gives an unparalleled mechanical strength/weight ratio for fiberglass composite racing seats. QRT Technology gives an average weight savings of 7lbs (up to 10lbs +) per shell. The main benefit is that QRT seats approach the weight of a carbon fiber seat at a price of a fiberglass seat. The QRT-R is the lightest "Medium/Large" size fiberglass seat, the shell weighs only 9.9 lbs (15 lbs in full trim). The QRT-R has a unique CAD design that features a lower seating position that can fit a larger/taller driver with the exterior dimensions that can fit into smaller vehicles. The QRT-R is FIA approved.

OUR TAKE:
This new water repellant cover is a nice option for a roadster that has permanently deleted their top, or for an off-road buggy build or similar that will get very dirty often. The standard Sparco fabric covers are very durable and can be easily vacuum cleaned, so we so no reason to get the X cover for Miata that is being used for your usual street, autocross, or track use. Consider the X cover for abnormal uses where the likelihood and quantity of dirt, mud, sand, etc. is much higher than usual.

Mounts must be purchased separately. For a complete bolt-in solution we recommend the PCI bracket system found elsewhere on our site!

Fitment Notes: Don't call and ask us what seat to use because that is like asking what shoes and jeans fit you. You really must show up to events and see what other Miata owners are using and then SIT IN THOSE seats to figure out what seat actually fits YOU.
