All Mishimoto fan shrouds are significantly lighter than standard fan shrouds.In maintaining the lifetime of your engine, it is ideal to keep your engine running cool, especially during those unbearably hot days. A Mishimoto fan shroud will notably improve engine cooling performance by delivering more air to the Miata radiator and driving out excess heat while at the same time serving another very important purpose; securing the fan blades. Which otherwise could potentially damage other essential components in your engine.

BRIAN'S APPLICATION NOTES: The factory fans are VERY good and work great with either our KOYO or Mishimoto radiators but if your factory fans and shroud are broken, or you otherwise need a replacement, then these are a good choice. Requires some mechanical and wiring skills.
RYAN'S NOTES: The factory fans are VERY good. Consider these an option for those who do not have any fans and need some, but not an upgrade over the factory fans. This fan kit includes a shroud that blocks much more of the radiator than factory. The shroud improves the pressure created by the fans, making them more effective at low speed, at the cost of blocking airflow when the car is moving at high speed. Therefore this kit is more suitable for daily driver stop and go use or autocross than at the racetrack.

Mishimoto Fan and Shroud Kit
This fan unit fits perfectly with the Mishimoto radiator and complements it beautifully in terms of looks and performance! I removed the bullet connectors in favor of some weather-pack connectors for heat and vibration resistance. With the a/c on, you can hear the fans really moving the air! 10/10 would recommend!
This fan shroud was recommended by both Ryan and Sean. When the product arrived, I was amazed. I have never seen an auto part so carefully packaged. By carefully packaged, I mean like a work of art from a museum. It is encased in foam. The documentation is in plastic envelopes that are sealed in their own compartment in the foam. As for the fans, they suck... and I mean that in a good way. You can feel the flow of air being drawn through the radiator when you put you hands in front of the grill. I think if you could build some sort of attachment for the front of the car, you could vacuum the streets with it. We're talking serious air flow. So, am I happy with my purchase? You better believe it. These fans combined with the radiator that I also bought from Good-win have me set to beat the heat this summer.
Fitment was good. Operation was good. I missed the "foam liner" that was in a bag in the bottom of the package but it's not critical to install. Car cools off in seconds when the fans come on!
